Crunchyroll Manga App Launching In October

Crunchyroll is launching a new app next month that will make it simpler for fans in the U.S. and Canada to read popular manga. The app, which was announced earlier this year, will offer hundreds of titles from top publishers, bringing a wide selection of Japanese comics directly to your phone or tablet.

Starting October 9th, Crunchyroll will launch a dedicated manga app for both iOS and Android devices in the US and Canada. This app will be separate from the Crunchyroll streaming service. Existing Crunchyroll Ultimate Fan subscribers ($15.99/month) will automatically receive ad-free access to the manga app as part of their subscription. All users will enjoy an ad-free experience, unlimited reading, offline chapter downloads, customizable light and dark modes, and personalized reading lists with recommendations.

The web reader version will launch a week later, on October 15. Users have two options:

  • Crunchyroll Mega Fan + Manga – $15.49 USD / $17.49 CAD per month (includes Manga add-on at $3.50 USD / $5.00 CAD)
  • Crunchyroll Fan + Manga – $11.99 USD / $15.49 CAD per month (includes Manga add-on at $4.00 USD / $5.50 CAD)

The app will launch with a wide selection of popular manga from leading publishers like AlphaPolis, COMPASS, Square Enix, VIZ Media, and Yen Press. More publishers, including Shueisha and J-Novel Club, will be added soon. Some of the featured titles include *One Piece*, *Jujutsu Kaisen*, *Daemons of the Shadow Realm*, *My Dress-Up Darling*, *The Summer Hikaru Died*, *Lycoris Recoil*, *Delicious in Dungeon*, *Sasaki and Miyano*, *Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy*, and *Maiden of the Dragon: Falling for the Demon’s Lies*, with many other titles across various genres also available.

If Crunchyroll Manga becomes as successful as we anticipate, many more series will be added. And once they are, you’ll be able to access them on all your devices.
