A lot of drama is unfolding in the tennis world right now, involving players Corentin Moutet and Danielle Collins. It began at the Miami Open and quickly became very public, playing out almost like a reality TV show on the Tennis Channel. Fans are now divided, as each player has a different account of what happened.
Tennis star Danielle Collins recently shared an experience she had with French player Lucas Moutet during a broadcast. According to a TMZ Sports report, Collins said Moutet was making unwanted advances and even cat-calling her before a match. She responded by telling him he’d need to improve his tennis game if he wanted to get her attention.
Collins shared a humorous story about her dating profile from last year. She had playfully mentioned a ‘no short kings zone,’ which caused a bit of a stir with some users.
She stated on TV that Moutet was bothered by something she said, and reacted by sending her a message and then blocking her on social media. She also mentioned he recently contacted her again, asking if she’d noticed his powerful serves in a recent match.
I was watching Tennis Channel when Collins said she didn’t think he had a shot… at least, not yet. The clip blew up online really fast, but Moutet quickly responded on X, and he was not happy! He totally denied everything Collins said and called the whole thing nonsense.
Moutet expressed his frustration with the Tennis Channel in a post, questioning how he could be unfollowed when he hadn’t followed them in the first place. He was upset that the channel aired stories without verifying their accuracy. He also pointed out that it was actually Collins who followed him and had even asked him to team up for mixed doubles.
I never followed you, so I can’t unfollow you! And someone on Tennis Channel is spreading false information. They claim I followed them and asked for something, which is completely untrue. It seems like they’ll say anything to get attention. They really need to focus on spreading positivity instead.

Moutet continued his criticism with a very personal attack. He posted online, questioning whether she was simply seeking attention with her actions. He advised her to focus on self-love and finished by sarcastically tagging the Tennis Channel, implying they were eager to cover any controversy.
Danielle Collins hasn’t publicly responded to Moutet’s recent statements. She’s been focusing on recovering from a back injury and following the tournament. Despite the online drama, Moutet appears to be using his frustration to fuel his performance, as he won his match against Tomas Machac.
The French player now faces a tough match against top-ranked Jannik Sinner. It will be interesting to see if the recent off-court issues affect his performance. Tennis fans will be keeping a close eye on both the game and the unfolding drama. Let us know what you think about this situation in the comments!
