He shared with Hudson, “I was questioned about marriage, and I responded truthfully. I told her that a man knows what he wants, and in this case, I’m expressing my genuine feelings. If I were to get married, it would be Jennifer Kate Hudson who I see as the right person for me.

Later, the Chicago rapper reversed the question to Hudson, inquiring about her thoughts on swapping marriage vows. Hudson responded that she is open to it, but only when the timing feels right.
Hudson said, “Mom would have approved of you, I’m sure. She’d probably say, ‘I can’t vouch for the others, but Common is someone I could like.’ I believe she’d feel that way, and I concur. It’s a wonderful sentiment. You’re a man worthy of admiration, and I endorse your cause. That’s a splendid notion… If things ever reach that point.
Subsequently, Common revealed that he has been paying greater attention to God recently and feels that his connection with Hudson holds a meaningful purpose. It is worth mentioning that the Academy Award-winning artist has also been romantically linked to Taraji P. Henson, Serena Williams, Erykah Badu, Tiffany Haddish, and political commentator Angela Rye.
