Closer Look at Louis Vuitton’s 75th Anniversary Formula 1 World Championship Trophy Trunk

At The O2 earlier this week, a joint gathering was held for all 10 F1 teams, their drivers, and team principals during the festive F1’s 75 Event. As part of the 75th anniversary celebrations, Louis Vuitton showcased its custom-made Louis Vuitton Trophy Case.

A renowned French luxury brand designed a unique, limited-edition trophy case for the FIA Formula One World Championship, to be given to the top driver of the year at season’s end. This exquisite trophy chest is made following the artistry of every custom Louis Vuitton piece created for Formula 1 racing. Built at LV’s historic workshop in Asnières, France, this chest boasts two folding panels adorned with a hand-painted “V” symbolizing “Victory” and “Vuitton,” both in the classic black and white Damier pattern reminiscent of Formula 1 colors and finish lines. The interior is lined with black leather and microfiber to safeguard the trophy, while the exterior sports leather accents and the very same brass corner guards, locks, and clasps that have adorned Louis Vuitton trunks since the 1860s.

Developing their collaboration where fashion meets sports, Louis Vuitton and Formula One have been expanding their partnership. Together they designed the trophy case from 2021 to 2024, and with the increasing reach of the sport, this alliance continues to thrive. Let’s take a closer look at the trophy trunk showcased here.
