Cj Hendry Pokes Fun at Jeff Koons with Balloon-Inspired Exhibition

Last Thursday, Cj Hendry hosted a gathering to mark the debut of her newest exhibit, titled Keff Joons. Located in New York City’s Dumbo district until April 20th, this exhibition offers a whimsical tribute to Jeff Koons‘ famous balloon sculptures. The display showcases 50 massive, disorganized “balloon knot” installations that encourage visitors to engage with them as they delve into themes of happiness, nostalgia, and transience.

In keeping with her distinctive approach, Hendry turns the area into a fanciful playground, combining wit and size. “Balloons may appear quite basic, yet they bear such immense emotional significance—joy, nostalgia, vulnerability. I find charm in their ability to float effortlessly, but always aware that they might burst at any moment,” Hendry expressed in a statement.

Additionally available are editions and merchandise for purchase. Although all the original pieces have been sold, fans can still get their hands on one of ten limited edition prints (each with a production of 100), as well as a fun collection of clothing items such as t-shirts, caps, balloon sets, enamel pins, magnets, coloring books, and silk scarves.
