As a seasoned gamer who has navigated through countless virtual worlds and witnessed the rise and fall of numerous digital personas, I can’t help but feel a sense of deja vu when it comes to the latest saga involving Lil Durk and Charleston White.
Many folks could be vocalizing “Freedom for Durk” following Lil Durk’s arrest and charging with murder-for-hire yesterday. However, YouTube personality and infamous joker Charleston White took a different approach – he poked fun at the arrest instead.
White drew parallels between Durk’s predicament and his own recent legal issues, which stemmed from being charged with aggravated assault, as well as accusations of causing harm to an animal without the owner’s permission, resulting in severe bodily injury or poisoning. In addition to this, White was also charged with aggravated assault involving a deadly weapon.
He commented on Durk’s arrest by saying, “What goes around comes back around,” referring to Durk’s predicament. “People didn’t find it amusing when I was arrested… Now, it’s not funny. Now, your favorite rapper is in jail, just like me, with no bail options, but he has a federal no bond.
Later on, White asserted that he would continue to hold his status as an influential internet commentator on hip-hop, given the frequent troubles that many rappers encounter. “I’ll never falter in this game,” he declared confidently. “As long as rap music thrives, I will always have a stage. You all may adore the rappers, but you seem to despise the community advocate.
As reported by federal authorities, Durk is said to have enlisted five men from his hometown of Chicago to carry out a hit on rapper Quando Rondo in Los Angeles during 2022. The allegation is that he covered the costs for their plane tickets and a rental vehicle, along with utilizing a credit card affiliated with his record label OTF. Unfortunately, it was Durk’s cousin, Saviay’a Robinson (also known as Lul Pab), who met a tragic end in this situation since he happened to be with Rondo in Los Angeles at the time of the incident.
It’s possible that some remember an incident from 2020 where Rondo was involved in a brawl with rapper King Von, and during this altercation, Rondo’s associate Timothy “Lul Tim” Leeks allegedly fired shots, resulting in the death of King Von. Consequently, it is reported that Durk desired to avenge this incident by attempting to kill Rondo.
Moreover, according to TMZ, federal authorities obtained a text message which Durk is said to have sent to one of the five individuals prior to Robinson’s death. The text reportedly read, “Don’t book any flights using the names associated with mine.
It’s also been reported that Durk was arrested at a Miami airport and was on his way to Italy.
