Charlamagne tha God blasts Drake for ‘Not Like Us’ legal action in Donkey of the Day segment

As a seasoned gamer who has navigated countless virtual worlds and faced numerous challenges, I find myself intrigued by Drake’s recent legal battles against Universal Music Group (UMG). While I’ve never been involved in rap feuds or the music industry, I can appreciate the complexity of the situation.

There’s been quite a buzz about Drake suing his record label, Universal Music Group. Last month, he lodged a lawsuit against them, alleging that they unlawfully inflated the streaming numbers and airplay on radio stations for Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us.

Drake also filed a lawsuit against Universal Music Group, alleging defamation, since Kendrick Lamar implied that he was a pedophile in one of his songs. The legal proceedings mark a significant milestone, as it’s not common for a rapper to seek legal action over a lyrical dispute in a rap battle.

If you happened to have overlooked it, the head of OVO has received a great deal of mockery ever since submitting his petitions. More recently, Charlamagne tha God has joined the chorus, awarding him the “Donkey of the Day” on “The Breakfast Club”. The “Donkey of the Day” segment is reserved for individuals whom the radio host believes have made a significant blunder.

Charlamagne stated, “The strategies UMG employed to boost ‘Not Like Us’ were consistent throughout your entire career. If one of your diss tracks had exploded in popularity and reached cultural significance similar to ‘Not Like Us,’ they would have given it just as much promotion.

Later on, he addressed Drake’s devoted fans, as they consistently stand by their favorite rapper, whether his actions are praiseworthy or questionable, often overlooking any signs of misconduct.

Charlamagne stated, “If someone behaves like this, they’re clearly not just expressing Drake’s hurt feelings; they’re being downright disrespectful. To put it bluntly, they’re an O-V-H (Overzealous Hater).” He further added, “Drake is engaged in the same battle Michael Jackson faced. Drake is standing up for the art and the artist. Those who support this narrative would be so devoted to Drake that they’d help him while he uses the restroom and cheer him on when he’s done.

Drake hasn’t addressed all the criticism just yet, but it’s possible that he might tackle the issue in a future song instead of discussing it in an interview.
