What’s the Story?
Chain Saw Man narrates the story of Denji, a former devil hunter for yakuza, who was forced to work off his deceased parents’ debt. Betrayed and murdered by the gang, he is miraculously revived by Pochita, his faithful chainsaw-wielding devil-dog companion. In a remarkable turn of events, Denji and Pochita merge, resulting in Denji becoming the formidable Chainsaw Man.
As a self-proclaimed cinephile diving headfirst into the latest action flick, I found myself right smack in the middle of Denji’s world – a place brimming with high-stakes drama. That’s when this enigmatic girl named Reze entered the scene, turning my life upside down. Our unexpected connection led me straight into a bloodbath of devils, hunters, and covert adversaries, where even the survival rules were blurred beyond recognition. Buckle up, folks – it’s going to be one hell of a ride!
Who’s Behind the Movie?
The movie is helmed by Tatsuya Yoshihara as director and MAPPA as the production company. Hiroshi Seko penned the script, with the story originating from Tatsuki Fujimoto’s work, which was published in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ magazine.
