Cardi B says she’s releasing her sophomore album and fans lose it

As a long-time fan, I can confidently say that the anticipation for Cardi B’s sophomore album has been a rollercoaster ride these past six years. From her explosive debut with “Invasion of Privacy” to her recent tweet hinting at its imminent arrival, it’s safe to say that the wait is nearly over.

Six years have passed since Cardi B unveiled her first studio album “Invasion of Privacy”. While she has released several tracks and collaborated with numerous artists in this period, she remains vague about the release date of her second album.

On the 2nd of September, Monday, Cardi B hinted at her upcoming presence among her supporters by tweeting that she’s coming soon. This announcement was made in response to Chart Data confirming that she had already sold over half a million total album units this year, even though her second album has not been released yet.

“Alrighty, it’s time for my second release! 🤭”, Cardi announced on Twitter, hinting at the continued popularity of her album Invasion of Privacy. Predictably, her fans are eagerly anticipating the fresh tunes in her upcoming album.

Although Cardi B’s new album hasn’t been released yet, her year of 2024 has been quite busy. Last month, the 31-year-old revealed that she is expecting her third child, and she’s currently going through a divorce with Offset, her partner of seven years.

This year, Cardi B has dropped two songs titled “Like What (Freestyle)” and “Enough (Miami)”, which have generated even more anticipation for her upcoming second studio album. The delay in its release is due to some anxiety on her part, an issue she previously acknowledged during a live broadcast on Instagram a few years back.

Cardi expressed her feelings, saying, “I do struggle with anxiety,” she admitted. “It’s been tough on me because after I release my album, I have a tour planned, and I suffer from severe separation anxiety with my kids … As for the music, I simply can’t seem to find anything I like. I feel overwhelmed with so many songs; nothing seems good enough.”
