The upcoming installment in the Call of Duty: Black Ops series, Black Ops 7, is expected to launch later this year. However, Microsoft has yet to disclose a specific release date for the game. It seems that the company may have been preempted if credible leaker billbil-kun’s claims are accurate.
According to a recent update on Dealabs by trusted leaker billbil-kun, it’s anticipated that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will drop on November 14, 2025. This release date was initially speculated by leaker TheGhostOfHope in July, but now appears highly plausible due to billbil-kun’s reporting, as the leaker has an impressive record of accuracy with such information.
As per the latest report, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is expected to launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. It’s rumored that
Significantly, the source asserted that there won’t be a Nintendo Switch 2 edition of the game coming out this year, not even at its launch. However, the report maintains a glimmer of hope, suggesting it might still be unveiled later in 2025 or in 2026. At present, though, nothing is definitively set in stone about its release.
Following a 2023 agreement between Microsoft and Nintendo, it was confirmed that Nintendo consoles would receive a decade of Call of Duty releases if Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard proved successful. Once the acquisition was finalized, Nintendo players would enjoy the same features and content as Xbox and PlayStation players. The deal, announced by Microsoft vice chair Brad Smith on Twitter, didn’t specify the exact timeline, but it did guarantee that releases would be available “on the same day as Xbox,” implying that Black Ops 7 might not mark the beginning for the Switch 2.
As a fellow gaming enthusiast, let me set the record straight! I’m thrilled to share some exciting news: If Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard gets the green light from the regulators, you can count on us bringing Call of Duty to Nintendo’s platform. We’re fully committed to ensuring our gamers have access to the best experiences possible!

The upcoming launch of Battlefield 6 is expected to bring intense competition, as it will release a month before the anticipated debut of Black Ops 7. Although the Battlefield series has been less active in recent times, it’s poised for a strong return with the next installment, and based on early indications, it could challenge Call of Duty for dominance.
As a passionate gamer, I’ve had the privilege of getting an early sneak peek at Battlefield 6, and let me tell you, it’s like nothing this series has ever offered before. It seems that I’m not alone in my appreciation for this game; the open beta was such a hit that Electronic Arts found themselves needing to beef up their server capacity, as waiting queues swelled to hours!
