In the trailer for “Bugonia“, we catch a glimpse into the life of Michelle Fuller (played by Stone), the CEO of Auxolith who appears to have it all. She’s a successful, high-profile woman, gracing the cover of Time Magazine, living in a luxurious home, and sporting Christian Louboutins to complement her stylish wardrobe. In her leisure time, she indulges in high-end red light facial treatments and enjoys sparring sessions to maintain her fitness.
In my movie-loving perspective, it doesn’t take long for the plot to spin out of control when I get abducted by a pair of conspiracy theorists, with Jesse Plemons portraying one of them flawlessly. Their peculiar theories ensnare me, as they firmly believe that extraterrestrials have already landed on our planet and that I’m among their kind. The strange duo is hell-bent on thwarting my supposed mission to annihilate Earth before it’s too late.
She firmly disagrees and predicts that law enforcement will eventually come after them, and it appears her prediction is coming true. Nevertheless, there seems to be some mysterious behavior among at least one individual within this situation.
As a passionate film enthusiast, I must admit there’s something uncanny about at least one scene in this movie that hints at her not being entirely human. And let me tell you, Teddy, the character portrayed by Plemons, concludes the trailer with some peculiar actions that leave me scratching my head. So, what on earth is happening here? We’ll either unravel the mystery or deepen the confusion when we dive into Bugonia on October 24.
