As a gaming enthusiast, stepping into the virtual world of automobiles, I found myself captivated by the unveiling of the Bovensiepen Zagato at this year’s Fuori Concorso on Lake Como. Being the inaugural model from the freshly minted Bovensiepen brand, this grand tourer is a harmonious fusion of Italian craftsmanship and German engineering – a unique blend I like to call “Fine Driving” in its essence.

This vehicle boasts a 3-liter inline-six engine that generates an impressive 611 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, accelerating from zero to sixty miles per hour in an astonishing 3.3 seconds and achieving speeds exceeding 186 mph. Constructed on a lightweight carbon fiber chassis and adorned with adaptive Bilstein suspension, forged 20-inch wheels, and three selectable driving modes, the Zagato offers a harmonious blend of speed and comfort. A titanium Akrapovič exhaust system adds a fittingly powerful soundtrack to its striking design.

The distinctive “double bubble” roof, frameless windows, and sleek, fluid lines are clear indications of Zagato’s unique design heritage. Customers have the opportunity to tailor many elements within, such as optional Lavalina leather seating and CNC-milled aluminum gearshift paddles. Each vehicle takes over 250 hours to construct, featuring more than 400 custom components skillfully crafted in Buchloe.

As I’m typing this, details regarding availability and cost are still under wraps, but it’s anticipated that these details will be disclosed by the end of 2025. Deliveries, on the other hand, are expected to commence in the second quarter of 2026.
