Bobby Shmurda & Rowdy Rebel aren’t friends anymore, says Brooklyn OG

As someone who’s been following the intricate web of the Brooklyn hip-hop scene for years, I can’t help but feel a pang of nostalgia when it comes to the GS9 crew. Their rise and fall, their battles and camaraderie, have always been a captivating tale. But hearing about Bobby Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel’s apparent falling out leaves me with a sense of melancholy more than anything else.

If you haven’t heard of OG Product yet, that may change soon. This individual hails from Brooklyn and is rumored to have strong ties to the local street culture and its whispers.

During a chat on RapMatic, there was discussion about a rumored rift between Bobby Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel, involving NBA YoungBoy as a point of contention. You see, during the My Expert Opinion podcast in 2022, Rowdy expressed an unfavorable view regarding Lul Tim, a friend of Quando Rondo, for the shooting and killing of King Von. This opinion didn’t sit well with Bobby.

Essentially, Rowdy suggested that Tim should have kept others at a distance from Rondo when Von challenged him to fight. However, Bobby disagreed with Rowdy, believing he shouldn’t interfere in other people’s conflicts. Notably, Bobby and Rowdy are longtime associates of the Brooklyn GS9 gang.

It’s also been stated that by extending his own prison term, Bobby allowed Rowdy to be released from prison sooner. This was following their arrest, along with other GS9 members, in 2014 on a variety of charges, such as gun possession and attempted murder.

Following Bobby’s response to Rowdy’s remarks about Tim, there was an exchange of words between Bobby and YoungBoy, involving threats of violence. According to OG Product, this disagreement led to a rift between Bobby and Rowdy. Furthermore, it’s been rumored that due to some local resentment, Bobby is unable to return to a specific part of Brooklyn, his hometown.

As a devoted fan, I’m sharing this: “It seems Rowdy and him aren’t on good terms anymore,” mentioned RapMatic’s host. “Their falling out was due to the NBA YoungBoy incident… I’ve been hearing from the streets that he’s not welcome back in the 90s because he didn’t help anyone rise.

Yesterday, I visited Bobby’s profile to check something out. To my surprise, there was no longer any sign of GS9, nor any Crips symbols present.

In simpler terms, the product implied that people living near Bobby in Brooklyn might be resentful towards him due to his success, which surpasses their own. However, in 2022, Rowdy stated that there would be no conflict between them, so we’ll have to wait and see if Rowdy refutes the product’s assertion.
