Blue Protocol is returning! The game, now called Blue Protocol: Star Resonance, will be available on PC, iOS, and Android devices starting October 9, 2025. It was first announced earlier this year.
So, there’s this new MMORPG, BPSR, and it’s kinda interesting. It actually started as a different game by Bandai Namco that was supposed to come to the West with Amazon Games helping out, but that fell through. Now it’s being rebuilt and looks really promising! It’s aiming for that awesome anime art style, with a huge open world to explore, fast-paced combat, and a ton of ways to build and customize your character. I’m definitely keeping an eye on this one!
BPSR will let players continue their progress and play with friends no matter what device they’re using – whether it’s on the go or at home.
A recent private test with over 29,000 players suggests continued strong interest in the game, even though the first version wasn’t successful in Japan.
A Plus Japan and Crunchyroll are partnering to offer special rewards to Crunchyroll members who play the game. Members can get exclusive items like avatar frames and mount skins.
