Actor Crispin Glover, best known for playing George McFly in Back to the Future, is facing a lawsuit from a woman in the United Kingdom who wishes to remain anonymous. The woman, identified as Jane Doe in court documents, claims Glover manipulated her into traveling from Europe to his home in Los Angeles with false promises of helping her career. According to the lawsuit, Glover first contacted her on social media in 2015 and continued messaging her for years before they finally met in Germany in 2023.
The woman states that she was disturbed by Glover’s behavior when they first met in Dresden, recalling an incident where he showed her Nazi items from his personal collection. Despite these warning signs, she continued communicating with him because he promised her potentially high-paying job opportunities in Hollywood. She claims that by early 2024, he persuaded her to sell her possessions and stop paying rent in Europe so she could become his live-in assistant. However, when she arrived, she discovered he wanted her to be his girlfriend and work without compensation.
According to reports, the conflict worsened in March 2024 when the woman tried to go to a mosque. She claims Glover threatened to lock her out if she left, and did so when she returned home. When she attempted to re-enter the house to get her cats and belongings, she alleges Glover physically attacked her, grabbing her neck and choking her. This attack reportedly left her with a visible scar. Afterwards, Glover allegedly called the police and falsely reported her as an intruder.
Donald Glover has denied accusations made against him, with his representative calling them completely false and fabricated. Glover’s team claims he was actually the victim of an assault by the woman making the claims, and that the police investigated and arrested her. They also point to a restraining order Glover obtained against her as evidence supporting his account. The woman, who is suing Glover for assault, fraud, and emotional distress, says she is currently homeless and traumatized. Her attorney, Dev Das, is handling the case. As of February, the lawsuit is proceeding through the Los Angeles court system, and Glover has stated he will strongly defend himself against the allegations. This legal issue arises as Glover is also enjoying success in his career with several recent independent film projects.
Late in 2025, Glover starred in his new film, A Blind Bargain, which was inspired by a forgotten silent movie from 1922 featuring Lon Chaney. Glover, a strong advocate for classic 35mm film, played two roles in the movie: a disturbed doctor and a creature.
He also recently led the cast of the unsettling thriller Mr. K, directed by Tallulah H. Schwab. The film debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival and then screened at festivals across Europe throughout 2025.
Craig Glover has finished his passion project, a film called No! YOU’RE WRONG. Or: Spooky Action at a Distance. The film is special because it includes a final performance by his father, Bruce Glover, and it’s the first time the two have appeared in a movie together.
