Avengers: Doomsday: Xochitl Gomez Is In The Movie?

It appears that Xochitl Gomez, who portrayed America Chavez in previous Marvel productions, was not initially included in the list of 27 cast members for “Avengers: Doomsday.” However, in a recent interview, there are hints suggesting she might reprise her role as America Chavez.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Gomez made her first appearance in 2022’s “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”. This character is known for traveling between dimensions and creating portals. Despite not being seen since, some fans speculate that Marvel could be preparing a new team like the “New Avengers” or the “Champions”, which might mean we see Gomez again.

At the red carpet event for “Nobody 2”, ET inquired from Gomez regarding his character. The interviewer subtly suggested that Gomez could be a part of the upcoming Avengers film, mentioning that he tends to be secretive before asking what he finds intriguing about reprising America Chavez. Gomez shared his enthusiasm for the character’s journey and asked fans explicitly what they would like to witness in continuation.

When asked for three words that encapsulate Chavez in the upcoming Avengers film, Gomez responded with “bravery, courage, and strength.” Later, ET noted the large cast, including Gomez themselves. This prompted a surprised response from Gomez, who exclaimed, “Oh!

When asked about who she’d like to collaborate with once more, Gomez merely considered it as speculation, crossed her fingers, and mentioned Elizabeth Olsen as her preferred choice.

As a die-hard movie fan, after catching that interview, I’ve got to say it left me wondering whether Gomez could possibly be missing from the much-anticipated Avengers: Doomsday. Time will tell if my suspicions are confirmed!

There’s talk that Benedict Cumberbatch will reprise his role as Doctor Strange alongside Benedict Wong as Wong in an upcoming project. It’s further rumored that a major cast announcement is imminent. On Tuesday, Ryan Reynolds hinted at Deadpool joining the Avengers.
