A person named Ron South unearthed a video clip from a VHS tape he found in a studio’s recycling bin, and he swears it was him who discovered it (during what could be considered dumpster diving). In the same batch of tapes, he stumbled upon audition tapes for Rupert Friend, Sam Worthington from ‘Avatar’, and Anthony Starr, later known as Homelander. At the time of this James Bond audition, Henry Cavill was only 22 years old, which was before his major role in ‘The Tudors’. This particular audition scene might be familiar to ardent Bond fans. Interestingly, it’s not from ‘Casino Royale’, but rather ‘Goldeneye’, featuring Pierce Brosnan as James Bond. The scene in question depicts a brief interaction between 007 and Xenia Onatopp, the Russian Bond girl played by Famke Janssen before her role in ‘X-Men’.
