The latest season of American Horror Story is coming, and the cast list is now available! Creator Ryan Murphy announced the news in a Halloween video, with the season currently slated to debut in 2026.
The show features a cast of returning favorites from previous Ryan Murphy projects. Confirmed to star are Ariana Grande, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman, and Jessica Lange.
Emma Roberts reprises her role as Madison Montgomery from Coven, dramatically announcing her return with the line, “Surprise, b. I bet you thought you’d seen the last of me.”
Several of the actors have collaborated with Ryan Murphy on previous projects. For example, Ariana Grande was in Scream Queens alongside Emma Roberts and Billie Lourd, who also appeared with her in American Horror Story. Roberts has been a frequent presence throughout the American Horror Story series, including seasons like Freak Show, Cult, Apocalypse, and 1984, and most recently starred in Delicate.

Despite previously stating she was finished with the series, Jessica Lange will reprise her role. Earlier this year, at the Glasgow Film Festival, she told an Irish radio station, “Absolutely not. It’s been over 10, even 12 years since I last did it.” Lange originally starred as the iconic Constance Langdon in the first season, Murder House.
Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson have been key performers throughout the series, playing different characters since the very beginning. They’ve appeared in many seasons, including Asylum, Coven, Freak Show, Hotel, Roanoke, Cult, Apocalypse, and Double Feature. Angela Bassett, who also co-produces the show 9-1-1 with Ryan Murphy, is returning as Marie Laveau, a character she’s played in Coven and Apocalypse. She’s also been in Freak Show, Hotel, and Roanoke.
Season 13 of American Horror Story is looking to be a big hit with lots of returning cast members.
