Season 3 to dive deeper into the Borderland
In the ongoing new season, we delve deeper into the enigmatic realm that lies somewhere between existence and nonexistence. Last we saw, Arisu and Usagi had successfully fled the perilous Borderland during Season 2. This time around, they are portrayed as a married couple leading a tranquil life, yet their past experiences with the games continue to linger in their memories.
According to Netflix, “Arisu and Usagi are haunted by dreams and visions of the Borderland.”
As I’m led by Ryuji, a scholar of the afterlife, I experience an unexpected disappearance of Usagi. Upon my return, I find myself back in the Borderland, while Arisu is left behind. It isn’t long before I learn from Banda, now residing in the Borderland, about Usagi’s current location. With renewed determination, I set out to devise a means to rescue her once more.
In the upcoming third season, Director Shinsuke Sato takes charge yet again. Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya reprise their roles as Arisu and Usagi respectively. Additionally, Hayato Isomura, Ayaka Miyoshi, and Katsuya Maiguma are set to return to the cast.
