Aimé Leon Dore’s New Golf Collection Blends Tailoring With Performance

As a gamer stepping onto the green, I’ve discovered that Aimé Leon Dore’s second Golf Capsule isn’t merely about the post-round beverages – it’s redefining the very essence of golf attire. This New York brand weaves its tailored heritage with the casual allure of ’90s silhouettes, creating a collection that fits seamlessly in Forest Park as it does on Mulberry Street.

In a fresh twist to ALD’s muted color palette (Olive, Navy Blazer, and Pristine), this latest collection expands with innovative fabric textures and more daring silhouettes. The robust Cordura material is making waves as the preferred choice: it offers durability and performance capabilities, yet is refined through ALD’s expertise in fit and proportion. The Double Pleated Pant and coordinating Tips Jacket serve as the collection’s star pieces, accompanied by shorts, a lightweight vest, and new additions like the Half Zip Pullover and Performance Tee.

As I unboxed my latest ALD (Allbirds) package, I couldn’t help but notice the golf-themed accessories hidden among them: leather gloves, an umbrella, and club covers. It struck me that this wasn’t just about a brand promoting golf as a sport, but rather, they were inviting me to embrace golf as a lifestyle.

Nestled subtly within the package was a hint of something more – a teaser for an exciting collaboration with FootJoy. This partnership promises to reimagine their classic leather golf shoe through the lens of ALD, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it when it drops later in May.

The full apparel collection, meanwhile, drops tomorrow at 11AM ET via ALD’s website and in-store.
