Gilbert described the reunion as a deeply emotional experience filled with both joy and sadness. She shared that she had a heartfelt reconnection with a sister, involving long conversations where they healed old wounds, reminisced about the past, and caught up on each other’s lives. It was a time of much laughter, but also some tears, and she’s been cherishing the experience ever since.

Gilbert shared her excitement about reconnecting with Anderson, saying it felt good to be close again, like the sisters they always hoped to be. She called it a wonderful Christmas present, emphasizing that they’ve put the past behind them and can now move forward as friends.

Both actresses have previously discussed the challenges they faced while working together. Anderson has stated she barely remembers Gilbert, explaining that they were quite different people.

Gilbert remembered Anderson being very serious and focused while filming. He explained that she took her work incredibly seriously, and being two years older than him – when they were nine and eleven – made a big difference. He described her as a strong personality, both when the cameras weren’t rolling and especially when they were.

There were some memorable, emotionally charged moments between them while filming, like the time Gilbert recalled Anderson jokingly hitting her – an incident that clearly evoked a lot of feelings for both of them.

Even with difficulties during production, the show became a well-loved classic, recounting the experiences of the Ingalls family in 19th-century Minnesota. The cast also featured Michael Landon, Karen Grassle, Dean Butler, and Richard Bull.

With their disagreement now resolved, Gilbert and Anderson are excited to reconnect and celebrate their long friendship. Plus, Netflix is planning a new version of the beloved show “Little House on the Prairie,” which fans will be thrilled about.
