Action Bronson and New Balance collaborated for the first time only two years back, releasing some of the initial designs for the 990v6 after its initial launch. Since then, they’ve released a total of nine shoes, working on four distinct New Balance models. As their partnership grows stronger, a sneak peek at what’s coming up next was unveiled during his Baklava Megastore pop-up in New York City last week.
At the pop-up event, his earlier shoes were back on sale, and to cap off the occasion, there was a hint of an upcoming New Balance 992 collaboration. This much-adored running shoe boasts a base of orange mesh at the upper, complemented by a blue mesh tongue that echoes the color scheme of Bronson’s beloved NBA team, the New York Knicks. Brown overlays made from nubuck and suede are scattered across the shoe to tone down its brightness. The sole unit is entirely black, while a gray heel detail adds variety. The final touch is a “BAKLAVA” label at the lateral heel, offering a sneak peek of this limited edition.
As of now, neither Action Bronson nor New Balance have disclosed the launch date for their upcoming collaboration with the 992 sneaker.
