Initially, when we broke news about a potential collaboration between Fragment Design, Union LA, and Air Jordan 1 High OG last year, it seemed almost unbelievable. But now, more than six months on, this partnership is not just confirmed, but it surpasses our wildest expectations.
Originally, a remix of a 2014 collaboration between Fragment Design was followed by a black and white version on Hiroshi Fujiwara’s sneakers. Now, according to recent reports from SneakerMarketRO and brandon1an, there will be a third “Varsity Red/Sport Royal” version released in early 2026. Although images of the shoe haven’t been revealed yet, the creators are confident that the color scheme of their speculative mock-up is similar to the final product. Keep an eye out for the anticipated red and blue tones, which will be paired with “Black” and “White”, recreating a familiar yet unique style. The Fragment Design thunderbolt logo on the lateral heel and Union LA’s collar design reminiscent of Frankenstein are also expected to return in this new release.
Currently, there’s no official announcement from Fragment Design, Union LA, or Jordan Brand about a third release of the Air Jordan 1 High OGs for next year. Keep an eye out for updates, including potential images of the anticipated “Varsity Red/Sport Royal” colorway, as we anticipate it to be launched in the spring through Nike SNKRS and select retailers.
