Hannah Waddingham, known for her role as Rebecca Welton in Ted Lasso, will be back for Season 4. In March, it was revealed that the popular sports comedy will continue, with its new home being Apple TV.
At the Smurfs’ premiere, the actress from Mission Impossible: Fallout excitedly shared her feelings, likening the series to a cherished pet that was dug up after being buried.
Two years following the release of the last season’s episodes, the production for the next installment of the series will commence. Despite many viewers thinking it was the final season, the creators decided to come up with a new one instead.
Hannah Waddingham speaks up about Ted Lasso season 4
During a chat with a media outlet, Hannah Waddingham shared that she was curious about the fate of her character beyond Ted Lasso’s third season.
The actress expressed, ‘I feel as if we’ve unearthed the dearest, most cherished dog that seemed to have been laid to rest. I can’t help but be there for this.’
She continued to express, “I kept longing, and longing, and longing, and longing to know where Rebecca had traveled to, where she was heading. She’s more than just a friend to me; she’s part of me, so I’m ecstatic that her journey has been uncovered.
The Emmy-winning actress, known for her work in the soccer comedy, flashed a broad grin at the camera and declared excitedly, “I’m eager to dive into that and contribute my share, then I’ll go shopping for her stylish outfits.
Alongside Waddingham, it’s confirmed that Jason Sudeikis, who takes on the character of a soccer coach, is set to appear again in Season 4 as well.
He made a statement during the show’s renewal and said, “While we are all living in a world that encourages caution, ‘look before you leap’, the characters at AFC Richmond will learn the opposite in season four – they’ll jump first and find out later where they’re supposed to be. Wherever they end up, it’s their intended destination.
Apple TV+ hasn’t revealed the additional main actors for Ted Lasso Season 4 just yet. More information about the show’s fourth season is on the way shortly.
