Man who stole Heart’s instruments found but instrument is still missing

Lesson for everyone: Respect other people’s belongings, especially not touching items like musical instruments that are not yours. A recent incident involved a man who grabbed Heart’s guitars right before their concert at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey last weekend.

The Associated Press reports that an individual from Pleasantville, New Jersey managed to acquire a unique purple sparkle baritone Telecaster guitar, custom-built and adorned with sparkles, which once belonged to Nancy Wilson. Additionally, this person also obtained a 1966 Gibson EM-50 mandolin, a vintage instrument that previously belonged to Paul Moak.

From a fan’s perspective, these instruments carry a significant monetary value, but beyond that, Heart views them as an embodiment of their musical spirits. As for how I managed to get my hands on them and depart with them from the scene, that tale remains to be told.

Arrest made in Heart’s stolen instruments crime but guitar or mandolin is still missing

As a music enthusiast, it’s disheartening to share that one of the musical instruments I successfully sold (there seems to be no update from AP on whether the instrument has been found) remains a mystery about its current whereabouts. This predicament somehow reminds me of a Jerry Seinfeld joke involving a criminal capture – all we can do is question the individual and ensure they don’t slip through our fingers again.

Just ask the man where the other instrument is.

If the man didn’t get rid of that other instrument, then he must still have it somewhere, correct?

It’s plausible that the authorities have identified where the musical instrument is located, but they’re choosing not to disclose this info to the wider public. This could be because they haven’t managed to obtain the guitar or mandolin yet, but are actively trying to retrieve it.

We can only cross our fingers that the instruments are unharmed, as they hold great significance to the musicians. If for any reason they can’t be played in a performance, it’s disappointing, but their emotional connection to these instruments goes beyond mere utility. In essence, these instruments serve as an extension of the musicians themselves.

Back in 1975, the debut album of Heart titled “Dreamboat Annie” hit the shelves. This group has managed to place six of their albums among the top 10 in the U.S., and they’ve also achieved 13 top 10 hits on the singles charts.
