In the upcoming A24 crime movie titled “Enemies“, Austin Butler and Jeremy Allen White will be acting opposite each other. Earlier speculations have now been verified as the casting for the Henry Dunham-directed film has been officially announced.
The main storyline presents a persistent detective and a notorious assassin crossing paths in a lethal game of cat-and-mouse. However, it remains unclear who assumes which role. Details beyond this have been kept confidential, but the production is slated to commence this summer in Chicago. A24, Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen from Square Peg are set to produce, with Alejandro De Leon and Josh Bachove serving as producer and executive producer respectively.
Butler has a history of partnering with A24, having teamed up with Aster before on “Eddington”, set to debut at Cannes Film Festival in the coming days. The movie features Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal and Emma Stone as co-stars. Allen White prepares for the summer premiere of the fourth season of FX’s popular show, “The Bear“.
