  • Retailing at $330,000 USD, the watch honors the Ferrari F1 driver’s heritage and style

Lately, it’s been revealed that Richard Mille stealthily presented its newest limited-edition watch, in partnership with longtime representative and Ferrari F1 racer Charles Leclerc. The new RM72-01 “Charles Leclerc” is a daring restyling of the brand’s automatic flyback chronograph, influenced by the Monaco driver’s distinctive colors and racing heritage.

The timepiece sports a finish in gleaming white Quartz TPT with bold red stripes, symbolizing the Monegasque flag. A skeletonized dial carries on the red-and-white theme, removing hour numerals and accentuating racing-inspired chronograph sub-dials. The crown is black, mimicking the twisting motion of a high-performance F1 tire, while the date window is encased in alternating red and white frames.

This timepiece boasts a CRMC-1 caliber-driven mechanism, offering a flyback chronograph with both 30-minute and 24-hour displays, a function switch, and an impressive 50-hour power reserve. It operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (vph) featuring a platinum rotor and ceramic bearings for smooth and efficient winding.

For several weeks, Leclerc has been sporting a timepiece measuring 38.4mm x 47.34mm, but its release was just officially announced recently. Exclusively available in a run of only 150 units, the RM72-01 “Charles Leclerc” carries a hefty price tag of $330,000 USD. It is reported that deliveries to select clients have already begun.
