Before the premiere of John Wick 5, director Chad Stahelski has hinted at some intriguing aspects of the upcoming continuation.
In a recent conversation with Empire magazine, Stahelski shared that the narrative for the upcoming film will deviate significantly as it delves into the High Table storyline from the initial four movies. Stahelski explained, “The John Wick saga seemed to be concluded. Therefore, the only way to create another film is by introducing a new tale featuring John Wick. It’s not a continuation of the High Table plot. John has dealt with his sorrow. The new story will be remarkably different, and viewers will exclaim, ‘Wow! I simply must see that!’
Director Chad Stahelski talks about upcoming installments of the John Wick series, including the Ana de Armas-led movie “Ballerina” and the TV show titled “Under the High Table.” Stahelski reveals that these two projects, particularly the animated film and the TV series, will lay the groundwork for “John Wick 5,” as he stated, “The John Wick TV show and animation are high priorities. We plan to experiment with new ideas and expand on some plotlines through these two properties, which will ultimately lead us to concepts for ‘John Wick 5’.” “Ballerina” is slated to be released in theaters first, on June 6.
