On the anniversary of Kobe Bryant’s tribute day, April 13th (Mamba Day), Nike has introduced a fresh collection in commemoration of his daughter, Gianna Bryant. If she were alive today, May 1st would have been her 19th birthday. In a mix of joy and sadness, Nike is celebrating the life of the late Gianna with special Mambacita jerseys designed especially for her.
Instead of dominating basketball courts at UConn, potentially claiming NCAA championship titles, Nike and the Kobe Brand have designed special jerseys for her upcoming birthday. These jerseys come in both home and away versions, with a Mamba logo on the front and her number 2 and name on both the front and back. The design is in black and white.
On May 1, you’ll be able to purchase the “Mambacita” jersey in line with the Kobe 9 Protro EM “Mambacita”. Each jersey is priced at $120 USD and proceeds will go towards the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation.
