After the initial version’s triumph, Byredo collaborates with French designer Benoit Lalloz to develop the “Infra Luna 2.0“, an innovative lamp designed to complement their candles, enhancing the overall sensory experience.
Just like Infra Luna 1.0, the Infra Luna 2.0 model offers an alternative way to enjoy Byredo candles without having to light their wick. The lamp features a fitting at its base that accommodates the distinctive smoked black glass votive from Byredo perfectly. This votive is then warmed by a halogen lamp suspended above it.
For the latest edition, Lalloz collaborated with Ben Gorham, Founder and Creative Director of Byredo, to create fresh colors. Drawing inspiration from the iridescent exteriors of insects, a pink-hued shade is complemented by a vibrant string. Moreover, the initial color scheme – natural aluminum with a green cord – will be reintroduced and added as a permanent feature in the “Byredo Byproduct” lineup.
Speaking about his encounter with the lamp, Lalloz expressed: “During the night, the lamp subtly guards the studio, emitting a faint fragrance and warm light. Occasionally, I sense gentle vibrations, reminiscent of a spirit’s presence. Though unseen, it continually lingers, creating a unique blend of sensory experiences that resonate with those who are receptive. Perhaps that’s what it signifies to have a soul.
For the first time, Infra Luna 2.0 was showcased at the Matter and Shape design exhibition held in Paris from March 7-10, 2025. This stylish item will be available for purchase at a price of €2,500 (around $2,697 USD) starting April 24. You can find it in selected stores globally and online on Byredo.com.
