After the intriguing leaked flight video, the DCU Lanterns series is picking up momentum, with Sinestro taking on Superman. It’s plausible that Atrocitus might be a hidden antagonist in the series.
Ulrich Thomsen calls out Superman
Last Friday, on Superman Day, actor Ulrich Thomsen, known for his role as Sinestro in Lanterns, sported an authentic Superman t-shirt and acknowledged David Corenswet’s portrayal of the Man of Steel.
“I will challenge you,” said Thomsen rather confidently in the video.
Given that the production of Lanterns has commenced, it’s likely that the appearance of Ulrich Thomsen in the video – with his mustache – is a reflection of how his character Sinestro will appear in the show. Take a look!

Atrocitus a secret villain?
Concerning Atrocitus, after the release of the flight video, Warner Bros swiftly shared that actor Paul Ben-Victor had been cast in the movie titled Lanterns. According to reports, Paul Ben-Victor is set to play a significant recurring part as “Antaan.” Here’s how the character is being portrayed:
Reports have revealed that Paul Ben-Victor will be playing a key recurring role as Antaan. The character is described as follows:
A being from beyond our planet, driven by the pursuit of truth and retribution against those who harmed his kind. Overwhelmed by an intense and unyielding anger towards injustice, he is resolute in meting out justice according to his principles.
If you’re a comic fan, this character seems reminiscent of Atrocitus, head of the Red Lantern Corps whose abilities stem from the emotional spectrum representing rage. His co-creator, Ethan Van Sciver, has even suggested it could be him, as he expressed enthusiasm about the news on social media.
