Four Billionaires Watch the World Crumble From an Expensive Ski Lodge in HBO's 'Mountainhead'

HBO has debuted the teaser for Mountainhead, helmed by Succession creator Jesse Armstrong.

Slated for release on May 31st, this satirical comedy-drama features Steve Carell, Jason Schwartzman, Cory Michael Smith, and Ramy Youssef as a quartet of wealthy friends who gather at an exquisite cabin nestled in the snowy peaks. However, while they’re there, the world finds itself amidst “a global catastrophe unfolding,” and their discussions subtly suggest that they might bear some responsibility for these crises.

In this production, Carell takes on the character of Randall, Schwartzman is cast as Hugo Van Yalk (or Souper), Smith plays Venis, while Youssef portrays Jeff. Additionally, Hadley Robinson, Andy Daly, Ali Kinkade, Daniel Oreskes, David Thompson, Amie MacKenzie, and Ava Kostia have all joined the cast.

Armstrong collaborates with Frank Rich, Lucy Prebble, Jon Brown, Tony Roche, Will Tracy, Mark Mylod, and Jill Footlick as co-writer, director, and executive producer.
