Since its introduction in 1970, Adidas has reimagined the Superstar shoe design in numerous ways. One unique spin on this iconic shelltoe sneaker is the adidas Superstar 82 Skate, a roller skate version. At the end of last year, we got a glimpse of its updated look and now, The Whitaker Group has collaborated with Adidas not just to host a skating event in celebration, but also to release a special colorway for local skaters and community members.
Upon a closer examination, this unique pair shares a premium leather high top upper and comes equipped with a front brake, along with labeled wheels. This particular version swaps the black and white design one of the two sneakers showcased in the campaign by substituting the white stripes for a glowing green that aligns with the tongue branding. Completing the collection is a “Silver” edition, characterized by a metallic silver crackled leather at its foundation.
