In a font reminiscent of Old English, designer Willy Chavarria’s logo features a rose silhouette crowned by his name, with “New York” at the base. This design draws inspiration from a recent Paris launch in February, followed by a line of black and red Paris-themed sweats. For this collection, Chavarria switches to “Navy” and “Tofu,” a shade resembling the traditional Yankees color scheme. The price range for the collection is between $95 and $250 USD, featuring a printed hoodie, two t-shirts, and two embroidered caps with snap-back closures.
2024 saw Mexican-American designer Chavarria being honored as the CFDA’s American Menswear Designer of the Year. He finds inspiration in vintage athletic and work uniforms for his casual clothing line, while his more avant-garde designs reflect ecclesiastical influences. In 2025, he has launched a series of graphic collections that are more numerous than ever before – from collaborations with adidas for his Paris capsule, to teaming up with Kendrick Lamar for the Superbowl Half-Time Show collection and Human Rights Watch. Chavarria’s printed essentials adopt a minimalist philosophy, favoring clear messages over distracting finishes or embellishments.
