‘Fire Force’ Returns This Spring With Third and Final Season

Fire Force will make its comeback this year with its third and concluding season, marking almost four years since the broadcast of its last episode. A fresh trailer was debuted at IGN Fan Fest 2025, showcasing a personal message from Gakuto Kajiwara, the voice behind the anime’s leading character, Shinra Kusakabe.

Starting right where Season 2 ended, the upcoming episodes will kick off with “Obi’s Rescue Mission,” picking up threads from the original manga by Atsushi Ohkubo. Following Captain Hague’s assassination, the White Clad sought to restructure the Tokyo Empire, compelling Company 1 to work together with them. On the other hand, Company 8, certain of uniting all Fire Force members under one flag, finds themselves in turmoil as Captain Obi is apprehended by the Tokyo Army. This leads them to prepare for a confrontation against their fellow countrymen, aiming to free Obi and expose the truth about Spontaneous Human Combustion.

Additionally showcased in the trailer is “High Flame,” the fresh opening theme for the anime, penned and sung by QUEEN BEE – a Japanese punk fashion band known for composing theme songs for hit anime series such as Chainsaw Man, Oshi no Ko, and Undead Unluck.

According to the trailer, the final season of Fire Force is set to air in two different parts. David Production will once again handle the animation, with the first part scheduled to debut in Japan on April 4, 2023. The second part has been slated for a release window in January 2026. Fans living outside of Japan can enjoy the series as it becomes available simultaneously on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
