Hennessey Performance has revealed its most powerful Mustang ever: the SUPER VENOM Mustang. This remarkable vehicle packs an astounding 850 horsepower and a massive 650 lb-ft of torque. Only 91 units will be produced worldwide, symbolizing the company’s establishment in Texas back in 1991.
Enhancing Ford’s 5L Coyote V8 engine, Hennessey boosts performance by approximately 70%, incorporating elements such as a high-performance induction system, a supercharger, improved fuel injectors and fuel pump, all optimized using Hennessey’s custom engine management system. This upgrade delivers an acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds, completing the quarter-mile in 10.9 seconds at 133 mph – a considerable improvement over the Dark Horse Mustang’s times.
The unique ‘VenomAero’ carbon fiber kit from Hennessey significantly improves aerodynamics, incorporating elements such as a front splitter, hood vent, side skirts, front fender louvers, rear decklid with an integrated duckbill, and a tall rear track wing. This design aims to boost both handling capabilities and cooling efficiency. The package is optimized for performance on both roads and racetracks.
For quite some time, we’ve been selectively labeling our strongest vehicles with the ‘Venom’ name, asserts John Hennessey, founder and CEO. He further explains that the SUPER VENOM Mustang combines supercar performance and is now available for purchase directly from Ford dealers, complete with a full warranty.
The base price for the SUPER VENOM Dark Horse is set at $163,950 USD, and the SUPER VENOM GT starts from $149,950 USD. Both models are supported by a combination of Ford’s factory warranty and Hennessey’s three-year/36,000-mile coverage. The unique edition comes in black, silver, or red ’91 Icon’ liveries to add an extra touch of exclusivity. Production has already commenced at the Hennessey headquarters in Sealy, Texas, with orders being accepted through authorized Ford dealers as well as directly from Hennessey Performance’s official website.
