Peugeot’s Design Lab Unveils Wild 504 Pikes Peak Concept

Peugeot revealed an inventive and striking idea for a concept car, built to conquer the challenging Pikes Peak hill climb. This design is inspired by the legendary 1968 mid-sized model, the renowned Peugeot 504, even incorporating elements from its Break wagon version.

Redesigned by the imaginative team at Peugeot Design Lab, this conceptual racer honors the French rap group 113, blending the intensity of motorsport with a unique artistic style. Notable aspects include oversized, extremely wide wheel arches, an impressive dual-wing configuration, and a sparse interior that proudly showcases pink plaid fabric. The design daringly revisits the classic model’s graceful contours, transforming them into something strikingly contemporary and bold.

Beyond this point, Peugeot unveiled a second version, dubbed as “drift-ready,” adding an edge to the project’s unique flair. This drift-centric design boasts an off-kilter tire arrangement, an extraordinary vertical roof rack, and an eye-catching square steering wheel. The most striking feature might be the built-in vinyl record player within the cabin, underscoring the project’s fun-loving nature and cultural references.

As a gaming aficionado, just catching a glimpse of those stunning Peugeot concept designs has me on the edge of my seat! Though they haven’t officially shared any technical details or confirmed production plans yet, the buzz in the automotive world is electric. I can only imagine what it would feel like to get behind the wheel of these beauties, whether it’s for a casual drive or an adrenaline-pumping race!
