Wale Previews the Nike GT Future

Despite some mixed opinions about the basketball events during the 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend, the sneaker aspect more than lived up to expectations. A multitude of pop-ups, launches, and unveilings took place, with Nike Basketball delivering an impressive performance in San Francisco this year. Not only did they provide sneaker enthusiasts with an opportunity to secure coveted pairs like the Air Foamposite One “Galaxy” ahead of schedule, but they also introduced the highly exclusive “Black Label” collection. Additionally, they unveiled a new high-performance sneaker, the GT Future, for the public to see.

Introduced as the fourth model in Nike Basketball’s “Greater Than” series launched in 2021, the GT Future shares design elements of both the Zoom Hyperflight and Air Foamposite One. First seen on rapper Wale, this shoe boasts an upper that ascends above the ankle, complete with vents at the medial side for breathability. The lateral heel, forefoot, and tall tongue display Swoosh logos, and its debut colorways include an orange and black design, a “Copper Egg” version featuring a metallic upper, and an all-black style.

Currently, there are no known release details available for the Nike Basketball GT Future. Keep an eye out as it might become available towards the end of this year in various color options on Nike SNKRS and selected stores, with a tentative starting price of around $190 USD.
