ALTO Updates the ART 01 Watch in Two Monochrome Editions

This past spring, the independent watch company ALTO entered the scene with its first creation, the ART 01 timepiece. With Raphaël Abeillon now joining as the brand’s creative director, two fresh monochrome versions of the ART 01 have been presented to the public.

Refreshingly dubbed as Monochrome Editions, these latest models stem from Abeillon’s recent update on the ART 01 design. Employing a harmonious duochrome color scheme, the new timepieces are offered in Black and Titanium Gray versions. Each model exhibits a more subdued, monotone aesthetic while retaining its distinctive shape and textured dial with louvers.

In their official statement, the brand describes black as a ‘shimmering void’ where light is unseen, whereas for the ALTO model, it’s quite different. The ART 01 MONOCHROME BLACK sports a titanium case with a satin-like DLC finish, while the ART 01 MONOCHROME GRAY edition boasts a microblasted titanium case, creating an allure that harmoniously balances light and darkness.

Similar to the initial ART 01 model, the latest versions showcase the eye-catching and creative A01 Manufacture caliber. This mechanical beauty can be admired from the watch’s backside. The seconds hand drives the timepiece via a unique counter-clockwise winding motion.

The MONCHROME Edition timepieces come equipped with straps in the same color scheme as the watch, creating a harmonious appearance. These items are produced in a limited number, so anyone intrigued by them should check out ALTO’s official site for pricing details.
