As a gaming enthusiast, I often find myself eagerly anticipating the global tours of my favorite artists, with a chance they might be playing in my town! It’s not just about the concert itself, but the opportunity for these artists to expand their fan base – that’s why they’re coming our way. Keep in mind though, the cost can add up beyond just the ticket price: there are hotel rooms, flights or car rentals, and plenty of food expenses to consider.
Unless you’re fond of musical artists like Beyoncé or Taylor Swift, who often turn into a city’s tourist attraction when they perform, it means that if they visit a place multiple times, fans are likely to travel to see them, making the city their vacation spot. In Taylor Swift’s case, she might not tour many cities, but she usually performs several nights in one city like Toronto, assuming fans will find a way to get there, which can be costly.
In her latest announcement for the “Cowboy Carter” tour, Beyoncé has chosen to perform in a concentrated manner. Currently, she’s scheduled for 27 shows, yet these are limited to just eight cities. Remarkably, six of those concerts will be held exclusively in London.
Beyoncé and Taylor Swift are setting the trend for concerts to be destination vacations
To secure tickets, your best bet might be entering a lottery against numerous other enthusiasts, crossing your fingers and hoping for good fortune. Unfortunately, it seems that during the presale, certain ticket sections were reserved, reducing the already slim chances of obtaining tickets.
As a passionate fan, I couldn’t help but feel the collective frustration on social media over the ticket-buying process. The language used was far from family-friendly in some instances. However, given the high cost of tickets, it’s understandable that fans felt they were being unfairly treated by the difficulty in obtaining them.
Obtaining Atlanta tickets for the Cowboy Carter Tour was, without a doubt, the most challenging task I’ve faced in my 29 years. It left me feeling like I’d been through a tough fight. I skipped lunch, ended up with a headache, and spent the last hour in a dazed state. #CowboyCarterTour

In many instances, it’s likely that people found themselves in a similar situation. The anticipation of getting a chance to buy a golden ticket was a prolonged and challenging process. For those who were quick-witted, they may have chosen to schedule their day off in advance.
I lost round one of the #CowboyCarterTour presales but I will PREVAIL ON GENERAL

Do you recall a time when acquiring concert tickets wasn’t such a challenge? As more prominent artists host destination shows, the process of buying tickets will likely become even more difficult. It’s not enjoyable at all.
