Breaking down every Beatles Grammy Award nomination and win before 2025 ceremony

2025’s Grammy Awards anticipation is palpable, with a host of renowned artists either taking the stage to perform or being nominated – sometimes both! What makes this year exceptional is that a notable name has been nominated, and the event will address a significant theme.

This Sunday, February 2nd, the Grammy Awards ceremony unfolds in Los Angeles. Typically a grand occasion, this year’s event might hold even greater significance due to the aftermath of the wildfires in the area. The televised broadcast aims to collect funds for relief efforts and assistance for artists and music professionals affected by these events. Emotions could run high during this evening.

As a devoted fan, I can’t hide my excitement about one of the heavyweights in the nominations this year. Frankly, I never thought we’d be here, cheering for The Beatles with two Grammy Nominations in 2025. You see, their first taste of Grammy glory happened way back at the 7th Grammy Awards in April 1965 – a whopping 60 years ago! Isn’t it amazing to witness such an enduring legacy?

The Beatles Grammy Awards and Nominations

This year, The Beatles has earned two nominations for a brand new song titled “Now And Then,” which they released last year as a remarkable single. Remarkably, this tune had never been heard before and was produced using AI technology, incorporating original recordings of the band members working on an unfinished track from all four of them.

In an interesting turn of events, “Now and Then” ignited quite a stir and catapulted the group once more to chart-topping heights, coincidentally happening at roughly the same time as their 1960s contemporaries, the Rolling Stones, dominated album charts with a fresh release. It seems that rock and pop is indeed timeless and not confined to the young alone!

As a dedicated fan, I’ve got to say, with the addition of those two recent nods this year, they now boast a total of 24 nominations overall – quite an impressive tally! However, it’s clear we still have a long journey ahead if we want to match Beyoncé’s astounding 99 nominations. But let’s not forget, The Fab Four currently hold 7 wins under their belt before the upcoming event on Sunday.

Despite their 32 victories being surpassed by Beyoncé, the band’s 24 nominations and 7 wins still represent decent achievements, especially considering they disbanded as an official group back in 1970.
