It appears that Drew Barrymore had a knack for dispensing justice when someone hurt her. In fact, the actress shared a story about a time she exacted revenge on an ex-boyfriend who was unfaithful to her.
During her talk show, the actress from Blended recounted an old story to both the audience and her co-guest, SZA. She disclosed how she gathered all of his possessions in her home, placed them in his car, and subsequently pushed his vehicle down the driveway. Subsequently, she chose to abandon it there and walked away.
However, Barrymore didn’t stop there. She revealed that she subsequently arranged for the girl he was unfaithful with to have drinks with him, while she herself stayed with them. She ordered him to sit there quietly and listen to both of them converse. She commanded him to “keep quiet and listen!” before driving him home. She reminisced about glancing at him and saying, “Now you can leave.
In a recent conversation, the star of “50 First Dates” chose to conceal her former boyfriend’s name, but revealed that their relationship has improved significantly, and he is now more like her cherished friend. Despite appearing to vouch for him, she clarified they were both young and imprudent in their past actions. She also admitted to having done some foolish things herself.
In response to what was said, SZA expressed, “That wasn’t dumb. That was amazing. I’m inspired, incredibly inspired,” and further mentioned, “I’d love to grab a coffee and step out of the car.” The actress from The Wedding Singer then pledged that she would instruct the vocalist in all her “ancient techniques,” as she has successfully preserved platonic ties with all her past partners.
Barrymore went on to say, “Time passed and I found myself thinking, ‘Remember, we were both young. I made errors as well. We’re humans after all, and there was so much I admired about you. Couldn’t we maintain a connection in our lives?’
It seems that the R&B artist and the actress seemed to have different thoughts on a matter. Barrymore suggested a possible future encounter or reunion after some time with “Maybe in the future? Maybe after some time?” She also mentioned that time has a healing effect by saying “Time heals.” However, the singer did not agree with this idea, simply stating “Time passes.” In response to this, the actress expressed that they needed more of each other in their lives.
