‘Didn’t Need The Surgeries’: When Modern Family’s Dylan Reid Ewing Opened Up About Plastic Surgery Addiction Wanting To Look Like Brad Pitt

Nowadays, an increasing number of people are opting for plastic surgery, which has become quite prevalent. Numerous celebrities have been forthright about their experiences with these procedures and even shared their personal stories. For instance, Reid Ewing, a well-known actor from Modern Family, spoke candidly about the compulsion he developed following multiple surgeries.

In a post for the Huffington Post, the actor admitted that at age 19, he scheduled his first consultation with a cosmetic surgeon. He confessed, “I truly thought that undergoing just one operation would transform me into someone who resembled Brad Pitt.

After undergoing surgery, the artist secluded himself for two weeks, avoiding all people while donning a complete face covering. Upon removing his mask, however, the outcome was different than he anticipated.

Reid pointed out the swelling on his face and admitted that he had no explanation for it. He proceeded to share his intention of staying in his LA apartment for an additional week, waiting for the swelling to subside and become less noticeable.

In a state of panic, the performer sought help from his initial physician, hoping for an immediate surgical intervention. However, the surgeon declined to perform surgery on Reid for the next six months.

After recognizing that the surgeon was less skilled, he still chose to consult with another one. He admitted that qualifications didn’t matter much to him. Unfortunately, the surgery did not go as planned. Reid later shared his experience, saying “Just a few days had gone by when I realized I could effortlessly shift the chin implant beneath my skin from one side of my face to another,” which led to him undergoing the procedure again.

In the coming two years, he mentioned that he will undergo additional surgeries with two different surgeons. Each operation may lead to new complications requiring further procedures for resolution.

In the year 2012, it appears that Reid made a decision not to have any more surgeries, despite feeling self-conscious about his appearance.

The performer stated, ‘While plastic surgery isn’t necessarily negative in situations where it aids individuals with serious conditions, it can become a destructive pastime when abused. It can gradually consume you, leading to a loss of self-worth and happiness.’

He mentioned regretting the surgeries, saying if he could, he’d travel back in time to prevent them. His sentiment is that he was healthy initially, and it appears now that the surgeries were unnecessary.
