It appears that, with the worldwide release of P5X seemingly implementing updates more swiftly than the initial Chinese version, there has been much discussion about whether the limited-time banners will also arrive sooner. Given the excitement surrounding upcoming characters, such as original members of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts and in-game characters we’ve already met, fans are curious to know which items they should be stockpiling their currency for.

Yui – July 10

In the upcoming Version 1.1 update on July 10, Yui is set to join the ranks of Phantom Idols as one of the two new additions. Since she’s already present as a Synergy Bond in P5X, fans are eagerly anticipating her inclusion in their teams. As an Electric-element Assassin-class unit, Yui specializes in dishing out substantial damage to individual enemies at once.

Minami Miyashita – July 10

In the latest update, Version 1.1, I’ve stepped out of the sidelines and into the game as a full-fledged Synergy Bond character! As Minami, my journey revolves around a dream to become a nurse and aid others, so it makes sense that my Persona embodies these ideals as a Bless-element Medic-class unit. I’m all about support now!

Yusuke Kitagawa – Late July

As a gamer, I can’t wait for the newest addition to our Phantom Thieves crew, Yusuke, who’s about to join us with Version 1.2! This is gearing up for the second act of the Persona 5 crossover event, where we’ll find ourselves back in Madarame’s Palace. Much like in the original game, he’ll be an Ice-element Sweeper-class character, which means he’s all about taking down multiple enemies at once with his powerful attacks.

Makoto Niijima – Early August

In simple terms, Makoto will join the Phantom Thieves soon after Yusuke, as part of the Version 1.3 update. She’ll be a Nuke-element Assassin-class character, ready to deliver potent attacks against single targets she encounters.

Chizuko Nagao – Early August

Joining us is our unique character, Phantom Idol, accompanied by Makoto. A fresh addition to the Phantom Thieves, Chizuko stands out as an elderly character instead of a teenager, marking her debut in this group. Moreover, she’s the first 4-Star character to be introduced, making it easier for players to acquire her compared to the previously available 5-Star pulls.

Chizuko is designed as a Nuke-element Saboteur-class unit, focusing on weakening opponents, thereby creating opportunities for her allies to attack effectively. It seems that Chizuko will work exceptionally well with Makoto, potentially forming a powerful team combination.

Yumi Shiina – Mid/Late August

As a fervent admirer, I can’t help but express my excitement about Yumi, who hasn’t even made her debut yet in P5X. The reason for this anticipation lies in her unique ability to unlock the Milk Tea recipe, a feature that amplifies your City Life actions when you prepare it. Yet, her strength as a Navigator-class unit transcends beyond this single aspect, with her skills primarily honed towards boosting our team’s offensive capabilities.

Ayaka Sakai – Late August/Early September

Ayaka could be someone you’ve come across unexpectedly, as she is the young street performer often seen playing music in Station Square. In the Version 2.0 update, she will make her appearance as a top-tier Phantom Idol (5-Star). As a Lightning-element Strategist unit, her primary role revolves around boosting her team to reach their peak performance.

Riko Tanemura – Late August/Early September

In Version 2.0, Chapter 3 of the primary narrative unfolds, marking Riko’s official inclusion in the main group as a Phantom Thief. Since she’s been prominently featured throughout the game’s promotional materials in her gear, fans have been eagerly anticipating her arrival, and now they can finally welcome her aboard for the upcoming third Palace. As a 4-Star Navigator-class character, Riko is poised to significantly enhance the party’s strength.
