As a seasoned gamer who’s spent countless hours navigating the virtual world of Grand Theft Auto and its shady underworld, I can’t help but feel a strange sense of familiarity watching this real-life drama unfold. The hip-hop scene is, at times, as unpredictable and thrilling as any video game mission.
Typically, when a rapper appears on a blog or radio show, they’re often inquired about the latest happenings in hip-hop. Consequently, during his visit to The Breakfast Club this week, 50 Cent was questioned about Lil Durk‘s recent arrest.
Earlier this week, federal authorities held a meeting with Durk at Miami International Airport as he prepared for a trip to Italy. In an old interview, 50 Cent discussed offering guidance to Durk regarding his associates within the OTF group. This interview resurfaced recently, coinciding with speculation that Durk was taken into custody following allegations that someone from OTF collaborated with federal agents and used a wiretap.
When Durk was in New York, we worked on the “Power” theme song together. At that moment, I exclaimed, “Are these really them? They’re the real deal!” He agreed, saying, “Yes, yes.” I responded, “Just keep an eye on them.” His team was there as well.
50 Cent recounted an incident in 2021 when uninvited guests forced their way into his Atlanta-area residence. As reported by TMZ, in that situation, both 50 Cent and his girlfriend India Cox responded by firing weapons at the intruders. Thankfully, neither of us sustained any injuries.
I was taken aback when someone showed up at my place unexpectedly. I can’t for the life of me figure out how they managed to find my address. Who on earth knows where I live? Certainly not anyone, as far as I’m concerned. That’s what 50 claims Durk told him.
The famous rapper known as “The ‘All My Life’ rhymester” is currently incarcerated at a federal detention center in Miami. A TMZ source reported that he remains optimistic but expresses displeasure with the food. Durk, allegedly, utilized a credit card associated with his OTF record label to book plane tickets for a group of men to travel from Los Angeles, as well as a rental car, in an attempt to assassinate rapper Quando Rondo.
In 2020, there was an altercation between Rondo and King Von, which was also involving Timothy “Lul Tim” Leeks, a member of Rondo’s circle. During this incident, Lul Tim shot and killed King Von. The authorities suspect that Durk intended to avenge this by targeting Rondo. Unfortunately, it was Rondo’s cousin Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson who was killed instead, as he happened to be with Rondo during the shooting attempt.
