As a seasoned gamer who’s seen more than my fair share of plot twists and character arcs, I can’t help but feel like I’m stuck in a never-ending loop with Tekashi 6ix9ine. Just when it seems like he might be turning over a new leaf, another twist comes along to keep us all guessing.
6ix9ine has been re-incarcerated, this time at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, which also houses Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Today, October 29th, the contentious rapper known as Daniel Hernandez was taken into custody due to breaches in his monitored release conditions. According to Inner City Press, he faces allegations of skipping required drug tests, testing positive for Methamphetamine, and traveling to Las Vegas without authorization.
Lance Lazzaro, the rapper’s legal representative, stated that he thinks Tekashi had received necessary approval for his trip to Las Vegas and went there to perform. His next court date is scheduled for November 12, and he will remain in custody at MDC until then, as reported by HipHopDX.
Back in 2018, I found myself in handcuffs, accused of conspiracy to commit murder, racketeering, and a host of other offenses. Fast-forward to 2020, I chose to testify against my gang, the Nine Trey Gangster Bloods, which led to my release from prison under certain conditions. However, it seems that life in the limelight hasn’t been as easy for me as I had hoped, with trouble seemingly following close behind ever since.
In the year 2023, he was taken into custody in the Dominican Republic under charges of assault against two local producers. More recently, this year, he was apprehended for incidents of domestic violence and was accused by his ex-girlfriend, Yailín la Más Viral, of physical abuse.
Initially, it seemed like Tekashi had put his legal troubles in the past, as he recently discussed a potential deal with Kartel Music worth approximately $6 million. At 28 years old, Tekashi mentioned to TMZ that he would be creating “Mexico regional music.
Tekashi clarified that the arrangement isn’t about a traditional record deal. Instead, it’s an exclusive tour contract that covers Central America, South America, the United States, and Mexico. He likened it to an exclusivity deal. Previously, he had dominated the English music market, particularly in hip-hop, for quite some time, and reached unprecedented levels of success. As such, Tekashi believes one of his unique talents is his ability to excel in both markets.
However, Tekashi must pause his reign for now. This hiatus is due to his upcoming court hearing scheduled for November 12th.
