Coi Leray accuses her former label of sabotage, refuses to drop new music

As a seasoned gamer who has navigated through countless virtual worlds and battles, I find myself empathizing with Coi Leray’s current predicament. The struggle she faces against her former label 1801 Records is akin to an epic boss battle in a video game – relentless, daunting, yet filled with the potential for triumph.

Coi Leray established a strong reputation through her albums “Trendsetter” and simply titled “Coi”, however, she may be keeping a low profile temporarily due to her past record label, 1801 Records.

On Tuesday, October 22nd, a rapper originally from New Jersey took to social media to allege that 1801 was attempting to sabotage her career. Additionally, she pointed fingers at a man named Billy J, who founded the label as per his LinkedIn profile.

Coi expressed, “I’ve been quiet for quite some time now,” but what you may not know is that this situation has deeply weighed me down, and I am exhausted from the struggle.

In another message, she stated, “Billy is the sole individual clinging on, while 1801 no longer exists as a company. Kmack has completely distanced himself from Billy, and everyone associated with the company felt the same way about him.

As a devoted admirer, I’d like to share some insights from the creator of “Players.” She disclosed a bit more about her predicament, explaining that she was unwittingly coerced into signing an agreement. Furthermore, she made it clear that she might withhold future music releases until Billy J and 1801 are completely out of her professional sphere for good.

Five years ago, when I was 21, I agreed to a production deal with 1801. They tricked me into it and made me use their lawyer who didn’t explain the contract details to me. Now, I’m deeply upset by these people harassing me, and I vow never to release another record until I fight tooth and nail for them to leave me alone… I promise to reveal everything.

Although Coi’s career isn’t thriving currently, her private life appears to be in a good state. This is likely due to the fact that she reunited with Trippie Redd following their split in 2019.

Last month, news emerged that Coi posted a video call session with Trippie, indicating they spent the entire night talking. On Twitter, she expressed this as, “Chatting away on FaceTime, dozing off on FaceTime and waking up on FaceTime ❤️.

They were seen kissing on stage a little after that.

Later on, Trippie shared with TMZ the way they reconciled, stating that he just contacted Coi. Now, it remains to be seen how her relationship with 1801 unfolds.
