Good news for fans of “The Wheel of Time”! iwot Studios is expanding the franchise with new projects, including a video game, animated movies, and a TV series. They’re partnering with Thomas Vu, known for his work on Netflix’s “Arcane,” and Anthony Borquez’s Initiate Entertainment to bring Robert Jordan’s fantasy novels to life in new ways, according to Variety.
These projects are distinct from any other planned “Wheel of Time” movies or games. iwot Studios is developing a 3D animated feature called “The White Tower,” a live-action film titled “Age of Legends” directed by Kari Skogland, and open-world role-playing games through iwot Games Montréal. Currently, Vu’s video game and animation projects don’t have a distribution or streaming deal, but iwot Studios aims to expand the story’s reach and connect with fans globally through multiple platforms.
Variety magazine recently revealed the first image of Rand al’Thor, the main character, created by artist Vu as a concept for the series.
