Freddie Gibbs may be dropping another joint album with Madlib or The Alchemist

As a seasoned gamer of hip-hop, I can confidently say that Freddie Gibbs is priming us for a fresh wave of beats. His recent cryptic messages have sent the community into a frenzy, and we’re all eagerly awaiting the return of his musical prowess. Whether he’s rekindling his creative partnership with Madlib or teaming up with The Alchemist once more, it’s safe to say that the next project is bound to be another masterpiece.

It looks like there’s a high likelihood that Freddie Gibbs is going to release some new music soon. Yesterday, he shared a post on Instagram Stories saying, “It feels like it’s about to happen,” and followed it up with a tweet that reads, “I enjoy resuming our work 🐰❤️.

The tweet implies that Freddie might be reuniting with either Madlib, who collaborated on their exceptional 2019 album “Bandana”, or The Alchemist, who worked on the beats for their highly praised 2020 album “Alfredo”.

Musically speaking, Freddie has had a relatively quiet pace lately. His most recent album, titled “Soul Sold Separately,” was released in the year 2022. A possible explanation for this could be that he required some time off after consistently releasing music, as he put out three projects in quick succession.

One idea is that Freddie has been focusing solely on music, out of the public eye, following a major disagreement with Benny The Butcher. Previously, these two Buffalo rappers were frequent collaborators, frequently featuring each other in their projects. However, their friendship took a turn for the worse in 2022 when Benny mentioned during an interview that working with Freddie was no longer consistent.

The rapper from Indiana, known as Freddie Gibbs, took offense to a comment made by Benny on social media and responded sharply. In his defense, he said, “Guys, someone said ‘Freddie Gibbs came and went.’ Well, there are other things that have come and gone too.” He then added, “Please, don’t mention my name when you speak to those doing interviews. Just say, ‘next question,’ I don’t want to discuss that topic anymore.

That response led to Freddie getting jumped by an incredibly large group of people while eating at a Buffalo restaurant. He later spoke about the incident and downplayed it saying, “I’ve been in way worse situations than that. I can’t control if you bring 30 people to a restaurant with a camera crew to humiliate me but you end up losing.”

I hope it’s true that Freddie has put aside his disputes with Benny and is solely concentrating on music, as suggested by his latest communications.
