Martin Scorsese Surprises Fans with a Role in ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’ – Trailer Reveals Who He Is Playing

Okay, so I just watched the new trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu, and I was totally blown away! It’s the first Star Wars movie we’ve gotten in seven years, and seeing Pedro Pascal back as the Mandalorian with little Grogu (aka Baby Yoda) is awesome. But here’s the crazy part – I almost fell out of my chair when I heard a voice that sounded exactly like Martin Scorsese in the beginning! Seriously, it was a huge surprise to hear the legendary director pop up in a Star Wars trailer.

Martin Scorsese provides the voice for an Ardennian – a furry, four-armed alien who owns a shop. He has a short, amusing scene with Mando, who is trying to find information about a Hutt. This isn’t Scorsese’s first voice acting role; he previously voiced an anxious pufferfish in the 2004 animated film Shark Tale.

The world of Star Wars is back in theaters with The Mandalorian and Grogu! See Pedro Pascal in the new film, and watch the trailer now. It opens May 22nd in theaters and IMAX.

The new trailer has received a largely positive response online. While some fans weren’t impressed with earlier teasers and a Super Bowl clip, this latest trailer appears to have changed their opinions. One Reddit user shared, “Honestly, this trailer really got me excited to see the movie. It looks like it’s going to be a really fun Star Wars film, and that’s exactly what Star Wars needs right now.”

The filmmakers are trying to make this movie appeal to families. While some longtime Star Wars fans are a little surprised by this approach, it’s expected to attract a new generation of moviegoers.

A parent expressed their excitement about finally being able to take their kids to see a new Star Wars movie in theaters. They figured even if the movie wasn’t amazing, it would still be enjoyable, like a longer version of the TV show. They were hoping for a fun, lighthearted experience, and would consider anything beyond that a pleasant surprise.

Jon Favreau, known for successfully rebooting popular franchises like Marvel with Iron Man and initially launching The Mandalorian TV series in 2019, directs The Mandalorian & Grogu. The film is scheduled for release in theaters on May 22nd.
